🌸Happy Mother’s Day to my lovely daughters. Proud to be called Mom by these two ladies who made me a mom and deeply grateful for the privilege to be MomMom to their children.
🌸Experience isn’t a prerequisite for the job of motherhood yet somehow instinctively with a heart full of love we give our best effort. Nurturing is a gift, a blessing, that women choose to embrace in each season of life. Mothers nurture their young children with love and support guiding them to adulthood. It is a privilege to witness our sons and daughters as adults living their lives. And, our bond grows even deeper with a mutual respect and gratitude.

🌸Mother’s Day is a day to celebrate all the women who contribute and share their gifts, their love, and extend themselves to be a blessing to others….the caregivers, bonus moms, aunts, neighbors, godmothers, dog moms, friends! Happy Mother’s Day!

It is a sure sign of Spring when I see that the red tipped shoots of my peony plants have emerged through the soil. The stages of maturity from short shoots to tall, leafy stems goes quickly. The real treasure are the buds, tight round jewels that will open to fragrant lush blooms.
🌸Our weather has been so unpredictable going from a nice warm spring day to chilly days with frost warnings. So here we are with a frost warning for tonight and my budding plants will need a blanket to keep them protected!

The dainty blossoms of the cherry tree symbolize the fleeting beauty and mortality of life, renewal, and the arrival of spring. The blooms look like cotton candy rich and beautiful. It was a windy day when I dared to capture these blooms so delicate that the slightest breath of a breeze caused movement. The act of purposefully capturing these springtime blooms was my first step towards my personal renewal to find and protect my joy creating images and art that feed my heart and soul.

🌸We are living in a time with daily chaos and disconcerting news that is difficult to process. Our nation needs a renewed spirit rooted and uplifted in love following the true teachings of Jesus. My position is not political, for me it is moral. As evolved human spirits it is our moral responsibility that we create a society respecting all people including respecting and protecting the planet we inhabit. We must unite with the goal to be a compassionate society of people living together in peace and harmony across the globe.
For me, I have come to realize that protecting my mental spirit and joy is something that needs to be consciously nurtured. So, I am embarking on a personal journey to share 100 photos, no time limit, just sharing photographs that bring me joy and hopefully lift your spirit too. I welcome you to be on this journey with me.
